The 30th Gosport Half Marathon will be held on November 15th 2015, entries will open in the spring.
Race entries tend to be evenly split between Club and non Club Runners, so there is a good mix of abilities that ensures the race feels busy but rarely crowded. The race is a venue for the Hampshire Road Race League and unfortunately is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.
The 2014 winning man was Tony Lambert (Winchester & District AC) in a time of 1:08:00 and the winning lady was Emma Macready (Haslemere Border AC) in a time of 1:18:54.
Entries have now reached 2000 and the list is closed. Postal entries received after 3Ist October will be returned.
Please follow the link in the Final Race Instructions section for all race details.
Final Race Instructions
Runners' e-mails with your running number have now been sent to each runner. Please make a note of your running number for when you collect your chip and number on Race Day or the Saturday collection. If someone is collecting your number for you please ensure they bring a copy of your e-mail with them.
Not received your e-mail? First check in your e-mail's spam folder. If you still can't find it don't worry, instead go to the ENTRY LIST where you can look up your number, then download the RACE NEWSLETTER for full details of Race Day.
REQUEST FROM RACE DIRECTOR:
IT WILL HELP US SPEED UP THE CHIP AND NUMBER COLLECTION PROCESS IF RUNNERS ARE ABLE TO PRINT OFF THEIR RACE NUMBER E-MAIL AND BRING IT WITH THEM.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
There will be NO race packs sent out by mail this year. A personalised e-mail has been sent to each runner.
Full race details can also be dowloaded here:
NOT RUNNING? But would like to be part of the Gosport Half Marathon?
We are always in need of adults to marshall. If you would like to help please contact us at email@example.com
Entries are up to about 1800 already and are likely to reach the race limit before the closing date of Nov7th.
Don't leave entering until the last minute to avoid disappointment!
The new Course has been completed. The route starts and finishes at Browndown Rd as before, then has two laps which go all the way along the Seafront at Lee-on-the-Solent.
The outward leg is mainly run on cycle-paths and pavement, the return leg goes along the Esplanade. The course is flat save for three short ramps along the Esplanade.
At the far end of the Seafront it may be necessary to join the carriageway for a short distance. Care should be taken whilst joining the carriageway.

We are making changes to the chip collection procedure. This year both running numbers AND chips will be collected on race day, we will be sending out race information by e-mail and not by post, race information will also be posted on this website. Additionally we hope to have a collection point for local runners on the Saturday before the race.
We still accept postal entries but please make sure you have included a valid e-mail address on the form. If you are unable to provide an e-mail address for future communication please enclose an A5 self-addressed envelope.
We still have a few 2013 T-shirts left which can be purchased from our sponsor Absolute Running
Closing date for postal and on-line entries is up to and including 7th November (unless race limit of 2000 is reached). Last year the entry list was closed earlier than published as maximum entries had been received.
Affiliated runner £15.00
Non Affiliated runner £17.00
There are no entries on the day.
Entries are non-refundable. The only acceptable situation is to contact the race director with a substitute runner nominated and he can arrange for your number to be swapped.
